On a weekend in October members of the club spent a couple of days paddling on the River Wye and walking in the area The river levels this year were very high due to a lot of local rain. We all took a leisurely trip rafting through the rapids followed by a trip down to Monmouth. On Saturday after noon some paddlers braved the rapids while some others took an adventurous hike up Yat Rock On Sunday morning we visited the Naval monument at the Kymin near Monmouth then most people travelled to Northampton to paddle on the Nene white water centre We stayed at Ye Old Ferrie Inn in the bunkhouse and had our meals and liquid refreshments in the pub next door.
